Find Your Constitution

Find your constitution

Two passes, twelve questions each.

First pass: answer for how you have been most of your life, even as a child. That is your prakriti, your baseline constitution, and it does not change. Second pass: answer for the last few weeks. That is your vikriti, your current state, and it shifts with season, stress and habit.

Most people find the two do not match. That gap is the useful part: it tells you what is actually pulling you off your own baseline right now.

Find out why, not just what

An imbalance is rarely the problem itself. It is the visible end of something further back: how you sleep, what you carry, what your body has been quietly compensating for. A questionnaire can point at the pattern. It cannot tell you where the pattern began.

That takes someone who can look properly, ask the questions a form cannot, and read your history alongside your body.

Better to know

What is Prakriti?

In Ayurveda, Prakriti refers to your unique mind–body constitution—the natural combination of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, established at conception.

It influences how your body functions, how you digest food, respond to stress, sleep, and experience energy and emotions. Understanding your Prakriti helps Ayurveda personalize diet, lifestyle, daily routines, and wellness practices according to your individual nature rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

Why two answers, not one

Most online dosha quizzes ask one question and give one answer.

That conflates two different things. Prakriti is set at conception and does not change across your life, the way your height does not change once you stop growing. Vikriti is the state you are in this month, shaped by season, sleep, food, stress and age, the way your weight or mood can shift within weeks.

A single-pass quiz usually measures whichever one is loudest right now, and calls it your type. That is why the same person can take the same quiz in July and January and get two different answers. Neither answer is wrong; they are measuring different things.

Answering twice, once for your lifelong pattern and once for the last few weeks, gives you both numbers and the gap between them. The gap is usually the more useful part: it tells you what is actually pulling you away from your own baseline right now, which is the thing you can do something about.
